View reports on your mobile device

Use your Clover Dashboard app  to view daily reports from your iOS and Android devices.

If you are using an iOS device, you can view several levels of transaction detail from the Overview home page including daily transactions, refund details, daily summaries, sales by employees and receipts.

Android devices show Overview, Overview summary and Batch reports.

View Clover Dashboard Overview report

The Overview report, with daily net sales, is the Dashboard’s home screen. From there, you can select any day to view that day’s Overview summary report with more sales details.

To view the Overview report and Overview summary report:

  1. Tap Daily Overview icon to view daily net sales.
  2. Either tap a day in the transaction list or tap the calendar icon on the top right of the screen to select a specific date.
    The summary shows:

    • Gross Payments = Payment Amount + Tax; excludes Tip
    • Refunds (includes Refunds and Manual Refunds) = Refund Amount; excludes Tip
    • Net Sales = Gross Payments – Refunds
    • Tips Collected and Average Tip % do not include the Refunded Tip amount
    • Tender Types used
    • Card Types used
    • Sales by Employee
  3. Tap the following to view daily Transaction reports for:
    • Gross Payments: list of transactions
    • Refunds: refunded or manually refunded transactions by Payments, Refunds, and Manual Refunds by
    • Net Sales: Summary reports by Payments, Order Types, Employees, Items, Discounts, Taxes, Gift Cards, Orders, and Cash
    • Tender Types: transactions for each tender type used, by Payments, Refunds, and Manual Refunds
    • Card Types: transactions for each card type used, by Payments, Refunds, and Manual Refunds
    • Employee: employee transactions, by Payments, Refunds, and Manual Refunds

View Gross Payments report on the Clover Dashboard

The Gross Payments report provides overall details at the transaction level. For any given day, details by transaction include payment id, timestamps, tender used, payment amount and tax, the employee who took the sale, and payment and order receipts.

To view Gross Payment reports:

  1. Tap Gross Payments on the Overview summary report.

  2. Tap a payment to view the Transaction report for that day.

  3. Tap green links to view payment receipt, employee sales and to edit employee information.
  4. Tap on the back arrow (<) at the bottom of the page to go to the previous page.
  5. Tap on the X at the top right of the screen to close the Transaction screen and go back to the Payments detail.

View Refunds report on the Clover Dashboard

Detailed Refunds and Manual Refunds reports for each refunded transaction includes time stamp, receipts, tax and tip amounts, who processed the refund, and tender type.

To view refund details:

  1. Tap Refunds on the Overview summary report and then tap View Refunds or View Manual Refunds.

    Good to know

    If there are no refunds or manual refund transactions, the screen will be blank.


  2. Tap a refunded transaction.
  3. Tap on green links to view refund specific reports.
  4. Tap back arrow (<) at the bottom of the page to go to the previous page.
  5. Tap on X at the top right of the screen to close the Transaction screen and go back to the Refunds screen.

View Net Sales report on the Clover Dashboard

Net Sales is the total amount of sales generated by your company, minus the returns.

The Net Sales is a summary report of  daily transactions rather than on individual transactions as provided in the Gross Payments report.

Summary reports

To view Net Sales reports:

  1. Tap Net Sales on the Overview summary report screen.
  2. Scroll down to view the Summary report in the Reporting app.
  3. Tap Details bars for Transactions app details.

To view custom reports, set the following filters:

  • Select Report Type (optional):
    • Payments: Payment report (default)
    • Order Types: Taxable / non-taxable
    • Employees: Summary of each employee’s activities
    • Items: Paid / removed items
    • Discounts: Number and type of discount
    • Taxes: Taxes due on payments
    • Gift Cards: Gift card activities
    • Orders: Opens Orders app and shows all orders created
    • Cash: Opens Cash Log app with payment and order details
    • All Order Types: same as above (Taxable / Non-Taxable)
    • All devices: Displays for select filters above
    • ** Set start and end dates to change default dates
  • Select Reporting app filters (optional).

    Good to know

    Filter options depend on the report type selected above.

  • Select or set Date Range (optional: default = Overview date):
    • Tap Change default reporting start times:
      • Today
      • Yesterday
      • Last 7 days
      • Last 30 days
    • Or enter Start and End dates.
  • Tap Get Reports.

    Tip:

    Tap the Reporting app  from the App screen for faster access to the custom reports.

Detailed Reports in the Transactions app

Tap on the green Details bars in the Net Sales Summary report. Scroll down to see the report.

To view customized Transactions reports, you can set any of the following parameters:

  1. Select Transaction type (optional):
    • Payments (default)
    • Manual Refunds
    • Refunds
  2. Set Transactions app filters (optional).

    Good to know

    Filter options depend on the transaction type.

    • Enter the total transactions totals in the Show payments with totals between: fields (optional).
  3. Select or set Date Range (optional):
    • Change default reporting start times.
      • Today
      • Yesterday
      • Last 7 days
      • Last 30 days
    • Or enter a start and end date.
  4. Tap Search.
  5. Scroll down to view reports.
  6. Tap Details bar for each section for more details in the Transactions app.

View Graph reports

Graphs show the breakdown of the daily transaction for the following categories:

  • Tender types: credit card, cash, etc.
  • Card types: Visa, Mastercard, Gyft cards, etc.
  • Employees: summarizes employees’ activities during the specified time period.

To view graph details, click on the description below each graph.


View Batch reports on your mobile device

On the Android, view the daily Batch (Closeout) reports for the past 14 days. View the Batch report by tapping on the Batch icon at the bottom of the screen.

On iOS devices, the Net Sales report on the iOS shows the daily summary.
