Adding new customer information fields to Customers app

We are updating the Customers app  on all Clover devices and Web Dashboard:

  • The Note field lets you quickly save important details about your customers
  • The Company field lets you save a business affiliation
  • The Birthday field lets you save the month and day


Adding a note

The Note field lets you add important details to a Customer contact, such as possible allergies or side dish preferences.

To add a note to a customer profile:

  1. Open Customers app 
  2. Tap an existing customer or tap Add New Customer
  3. Tap ADD A NOTE
  4. Enter your note in the Note field
  5. Tap Save

To edit an existing note in a customer profile:

  1. Open Customers app 
  2. Tap an existing customer
  3. Tap the Note field
    • You can also tap the Edit button or the Pencil icon next to the note
  4. Revise your note
  5. Tap Save

Adding a company name

The Company field lets you save a business affiliation for a customer.

To add a company name to a customer profile:

  1. Open Customers app 
  2. Tap an existing customer or tap Add New Customer
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the Company field
  5. Enter the company name
  6. Tap Save

Adding a birthday

The Birthday field lets you save the month and day for a customer’s birthday.

To add birthday to a customer profile:

  1. Open Customers app 
  2. Tap on an existing customer or Add New Customer
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the Birthday field
  5. Select the month and day, then tap Set
  6. Tap Save
