Change item quantity on an order

You can add multiple quantities of an item to an order in the Register app . There are two ways to do this:

  • If using a Clover Station, Clover Station (2018), Clover Mobile, or Clover Mini, use the quantity bar at the top of the screen to choose how much of an item to add to an order
  • After adding an item, select an item to change the quantity

The quantity bar has ten preset numbers and a CUSTOM option. You can change any of the preset numbers except 1 by tapping and holding the number, then entering a new preset number.

Good to know

To show the quantity bar, check Enable quantity (QTY) bar on items screen in Register Settings. You can access Register settings by tapping the upper left menu button, then tapping Settings. The quantity bar is only available on Clover Station, Clover Mini, and Clover Mobile.

If you’ll be adding large quantities on a regular basis, we recommend enabling the following settings in the Setup app: Setup app icon

– Setup app > Orders > Automatically group similar items

– Setup app > Order Receipts > Group line item

To add multiple quantities of an item by using the quantity bar:

  1. Open Register app 
  2. Select a category
  3. Tap a preset number in the quantity bar, or tap CUSTOM
  4. If you tap CUSTOM, enter the quantity in the number pad, then tap SET QUANTITY
  5. Select an item to add to the order

To change the quantity of an item in an order:

  1. Tap the item you want to edit
  2. Tap the Minus or Plus buttons next to Quantity to decrease or increase item quantity
  3. Tap Done
