Add, edit or delete an order type


Show customer info on order receipt

You can print customer information (customer’s name, address, phone number, and email address) on the order receipt if the information has been added in the Customers app.

Example:

A store that delivers pizza may print their customer’s address on order  receipts to make deliveries easier.

Add a note to an order

You can add a note to an order. You can also choose whether this note appears on the order receipt, the payment receipt, both, or none.

  • Restaurants can use order notes to keep track of special instructions for an entree, such as if a customer wants one ingredient replaced with another
  • Retailers can use order notes to include special instruction, such as if a product is going to be mailed at a later date

Good to know

To add a note to an order, you need to check the Allow notes on Orders (not printed on customer receipts) checkbox in the Register Settings. You can access Settings by tapping the upper left menu button, then tapping Settings.

You can also check the Allow notes on orders checkbox in Setup app  > Orders.
